The isolation

He's pushed all the love one's away
Burned bridges
He will need to cross
Broke hearts of women that he has loved
Drank wines and ales from the gods
Seen miracles happen before his eyes
Prays to his god morning and night
This man has lived a long plight
Struggled with the good fight
Claimed to of seen the light
Now he stands alone
Surrounded by enemies and well wishers
Bobbing to keep his head above water
In an endless sea with no back door
Whoa is he who stands so tall
Basking in memories of past victories
A strong man who won't back down
A man who has longed for love
A man who looks to the sun
With prayers of a better future
With hopes of a brighter tomorrow
A shell of a man no more
Who's found confidence in his stride
A strong lion looking over his pride
This man bleeds faith and
Hopes for love once more
